Checking
Free checking is available for persons 65 years of
age and older, or 18 years of age and younger. Reading Co-operative Bank
will not impose any fee, charge or other assessment against your account.
However, we may assess a reasonable charge as determined by the
appropriate regulatory authorities against any such account when payment
has been refused due to insufficient funds. This charge shall not exceed
$5 per check.
Protect yourself
from Accidental Overdrafts
Reading Co-operative Bank offers Overdraft Protection
to help protect you against overdrawn checks, which also affords you the
convenience of accessing additional funds for any personal need. Upon
approval, you can receive a personal line of credit of up to $5,000 based
on your qualifications. This convenient service costs nothing until
accessed and activated. A monthly payment will be conveniently deducted
from your checking account balance. This payment will include a portion
of the amount advanced and any applicable finance charges.
Link your Accounts
Reading Co-operative Bank offers the convenience
of a Sweep Account. When a Reading Co-operative Bank Checking Account is
linked with a Statement Savings Account, overdrawn checks will be covered
up to the combined balance of these accounts. There is a nominal daily
fee when this feature is accessed.
Direct Deposit
Direct Deposit is a convenient service that
allows you to have your paycheck electronically deposited to any deposit
account (except CDs). With direct deposit, you can enjoy a Value NOW Checking
Account without having to maintain a $500 average balance.

You can use your MasterMoney™
Card at thousands of locations worldwide! Simply look for the
MasterCard™ logo at any ATM or Merchant location. (Please note: this is a
debit transaction card, which will reduce your Checking account balance
